Mobile app

Softbook has a mobile app, Softbook LMS, for iPhone and Android. Students learn in it, and the school team works in it: the owner, administrators, and teachers. The app is free and available on all plans.

This article explains how to install the app, sign in to your school, and set up notifications. Instructions for owners, administrators, and teachers are in Mobile app for the school team.

What you can do in the app

Students can:

• take courses and lessons with video, audio, PDFs, text, and files;
• complete tests and submit homework;
• view their certificates;
• message in the school messenger and get notifications.

The school team can:

• review homework;
• view education and sales analytics;
• work with students and access, CRM deals and tasks, and orders.

How to install the app

1. On iPhone, open the App Store. On an Android phone, open Google Play.
2. Search for Softbook LMS or open the app page on the App Store or Google Play.
3. Install the app.

How to sign in to your school

1. Open the app.
2. Sign in with the account you use to study or work at your school: with your email and password, with Google, or with Apple ID. You don’t need a separate account for the app.
3. Choose your school. If you have only one school, the app opens it right away.

After you sign in, the app shows your school’s color and icon.

On iPhone you can sign in with Face ID, and on Android with your fingerprint.

If you forgot your password, reset it using the instructions for students.

If you study or work at several schools

All the schools where you study or work are in one list. To switch to another school, choose it in the list.

If you have several accounts, linked accounts switch with one tap, without re-entering the password.

Links to your school

If your school sent you a link, open it on your phone. If the app is installed, the link opens in the app and takes you to the right school. The school’s store and landing pages open in the browser.

How to set up notifications

The app sends push notifications, for example about new messages, reviewed homework, and replies to tickets. Tapping a notification opens the screen it relates to.

You can choose which notifications to get in the app settings.

To receive notifications, allow them for the Softbook LMS app when you first open it or in your phone settings.

The app and the web version

The app and the web version are fully synced across devices: what you do on your phone shows up in the browser right away, and the other way around. Changes to school settings in the web version apply in the app without reinstalling.

Interface language

The app is available in eight languages: Ukrainian, English, Russian, Polish, German, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. The language is synced with your account.

How to delete your account

You can delete your account right in the app. The steps are in Account deletion.

How much does the app cost?
The app is free and available on all Softbook plans. You don’t need to pay for it separately.

Do I need a separate account for the app?
No. You sign in to the app with the same account you use in the browser.

Can I create a school in the app?
Schools are created in the web version of Softbook. In the app, you work with a school that already exists.

Is the app available for Android?
Yes. The app is on Google Play for Android phones and on the App Store for iPhone.
