Mobile app for the school team

Owners, administrators, and teachers can work with their school in the Softbook LMS mobile app: review homework, view analytics, and work with students, CRM, and orders.

This article explains how to tell students about the app, review homework, and view analytics from your phone.

How to tell students about the app

The easiest way is to publish an announcement: it appears in your students’ dashboard.

1. Go to your school in the web version. Open the Education section and choose Announcement.
2. Click Add Announcement.
3. Fill in the Title fields and the Text field. In the text, paste the app links and say which account to sign in with.
4. Choose For All or specific courses and groups.
5. Turn on Active and click Save announcement.

Sample announcement text:

Our school is now in the Softbook LMS mobile app. Install it on iPhone or Android using the links below and sign in with the same account you use to study with us.

If a student opens a link to your school on their phone and the app is installed, the link opens in the app.

How to review homework from your phone

1. Sign in to the app and choose your school.
2. Open the homework list. You can filter it by course, status, and student.
3. Open a submission, read the answer, and view the attachments.
4. Add a grade and a comment. Attach a file if needed.
5. Accept or reject the work.

The student gets a notification about the review and sees the status, grade, and comment. Review history is saved. Work you no longer need in the list can be moved to the archive.

How to view analytics in the app

1. Sign in to the app and choose your school.
2. Open the analytics section.
3. Pick a tab: education or sales.
4. Pick a period: 30 days, 90 days, or a year.

Sales. Revenue and its trend, number of payments, average order value, top products, and buyers. Amounts in different currencies are shown separately.

Education. Active students compared with the previous period, overall completion, completion for each course, and students who haven’t signed in for a while: 7, 14, or 30 days and more.

Students, CRM, and orders

In the app you can also:

• find a student and open their card: courses, progress, access, homework, payments;
• grant or remove access to a course or lesson, and block or unblock a student;
• manage deals by stage, contacts, and CRM tasks, and turn a contact into a student;
• view orders and a money summary for a period.

CRM tasks with a deadline send a push reminder in advance.
